Chilean sensation FloyyMenor rightfully earned rising-star status off of 2024’s “Gata Only”, a collaborative reggaetón cut with the like-minded Cris MJ. Within a matter of months, the track’s international success led to the timely release of his first EP, EL COMIENZO, that summer. Since then, he’s continued to ride that momentum, kicking off 2025 with singles “BAYAMÓN”, a meta-commentary of his breakout hit, and the forthright Gaby Music team-up “TÚ ME CALIENTAS”. Then came “BANSHEE”, a thumping bit of dembow-driven futurism with Colombian superstar J Balvin that opened up the junior artist’s sonic prospects further.
While his latest project, YTSQS, an abbreviation for Ya Tú Sabes Quienes Somos, contains all of those recent drops in addition to a number of brand-new songs, FloyyMenor largely avoids bringing guests into his space. Instead, he focuses on honing his homegrown sound further, leaning into an atmospheric and explicit reggaetón blend on “MI LULI” and “PLACERES”. On tracks like “G WAGON” and “SOUTH BEACH”, his heavily Auto-Tuned sung vocals recall something akin to Travis Scott or Chief Keef at their most fantastically faded. Elsewhere, he reunites with Cris MJ for “TOA”, their interplay as vibrant and bold as before as they unapologetically present their respective would-be partners with physical promises and clear boundaries alike. A proven hitmaker for Anuel AA and Bad Bunny, DJ Luian glides into “PIN” with trademark confidence and a subtle throwback touch over the synthy shimmer and low-end pulsations.
